nothing on his school break. A.J. and the Kyros crew

Thomas Jefferson explains the Declaration of Independence;
and then to 1809 where the elder Jefferson discusses
his lifetime of accomplishments.
Winston Churchill: A.J. is uncomfortable when he takes
an unpopular stance as a member of the student council.
The Kyros crew takes off for war-torn London, England
in 1940 to meet Winston Churchill, where he explains
his escape from a war camp in 1899, his unpopular stance
during WWI, and then his rise to fame in WWII.

A.J.'S TIME TRAVELERS-Marie Curie & Thomas Edison

Marie Curie: Angry that his mother's career prevents
her from attending his school function, A.J. And the
Kyros crew travel to Paris, France in 1905 to meet Marie
Curie. While learning about Curie's discovery of atomic
particles, A.J. learns Curie raised two young daughters
while completing the work that made her the first person
ever to win Nobel prizes in two different fields.
Thomas Edison: Upset after failing his geometry test,
Ollie shows A.J. that he has a lot in common with Thomas
Edison. The Kyros crew goes back to West Orange, New
Jersey in 1891 where Edison explains how he made electricity
safe and practical, and then back to 1855 to meet eight-year-old
Thomas who was thrown out of school by a teacher who
said he was too stupid to learn.

A.J.'S TIME TRAVELERS-Aristotle & Leonardo da Vinci

Aristotle: While working out a logic problem for school,
the Kyros crew travels to Athens, Greece in 336 BC to
meet Aristotle, who explains that to become an expert
in so many fields he applied a new way of thinking,
which we call logic, to solve problems. Back home, A.J.
Is able to solve his homework problems using the information
he knows to be true.
Leonardo DA Vinci: After A.J. Is advised not to add
band to his already full schedule, the Kyros crew heads
for Florence, Italy in 1505 to meet an original Renaissance
Man--Leonardo DA Vinci. He explains that in addition
to his masterpieces, he has also invented many other
things. A.J. Learns that curiosity, passion and ideas
can be the path to greatness, and decides to add band
to his activities.

A.J.'S TIME TRAVELERS-Sir Edmond Hillary & Amerigo Vespucci

Sir Edmond Hillary: Afraid of rejection, A.J. hesitates
to ask Rachel to the prom. With the Kyros crew, he lands
atop Mount Everest on May 29, 1953, just as Edmond Hillary
and Tenzig Norgay reach the peak. After hearing about
hazards and obstacles they overcame to reach their goal,
A.J. Learns you never know how high or how far you can
go unless you try your hardest.
Amerigo Vespucci: After a classmate takes credit for
A.J.'s report, the Kyros crew travels to Seville, Spain
in 1508 to meet Amerigo Vespucci, who thinks his own
significant accomplishments have gone unheralded and
that he has been eclipsed by his friend, Christopher
Columbus. Vespucci was the first to grasp that Columbus
had discovered an entirely new continent: he is now
immortalized in the name of the two continents--North
and South America.

A.J.'S TIME TRAVELERS-Jackie Robinson & Martin Luther
King Jr.
Jackie Robinson: A.J. Is called a chicken because he
walked away from a fight in school. When the Kyros crew
lands in Brooklyn, New York in 1947, A.J. meets Jackie
Robinson, the first Negro to play major league baseball
in the 20th Century. Jackie shares that he walked away
from fights every day for years, in order to win a bigger
battle against segregation.
Martin Luther King Jr.: A.J. decides to use the Martin
Luther King, Jr. Day as an excuse to have a holiday.
The Kyros crew sets sail for Washington, D.C. in 1963,
but the crew somehow ends up in Atlanta, Georgia in
1944 where they meet teenage King. Using the time telescope,
Ollie shows King his future as a civil rights leader
and the worldwide significance of his work.
