DIE CAST EMERGENCY VEHICLES

Fire trucks, ambulances and more

1938 Ford Fire Engine 1:24 Scale Die-Cast Vehicle
The 1938 Ford was a particular favorite model for a Fire Fighting Vehicle. It was equipped with a modified V-8 Engine and was the first vehicle that furnished with "One Tonner." This medium-sized vehicle also featured a number of body changes, such as brand new large oval grille, styled fenders and headlights. This brought power, maneuverability and style to the fire station. At 1:24 scale, this replica measures approximately 10 inches long.

1914 Ford Model T Fire Engine 1:18 Scale Die-Cast Vehicle
With the development of the sturdy, low-priced Model T in 1908, Henry Ford made his company the biggest in the industry. By 1914, the moving assembly line enabled Ford to produce far more cars than any other company. The Model T and mass production made Ford an international celebrity. Model Ts were frequently used as fire trucks throughout the U.S., and in World War I they were used as field ambulances. At 1:18 scale, this incredible replica measures approximately 8 inches long.

1941 GMC Fire Truck 1:24 Scale Die-Cast Vehicle
The 1941 GMC Fire Truck actually exists and was photographed at a GM facility in Michigan. GM had it fully restored to its original condition, which was to be on duty as an active part of the GM fire department. Although GM built the chassis and cab, General Fire Truck Corp. of Detroit was responsible for the actual construction of the balance. This was normal policy, as fire vehicles were custom designed with specific features for different localities. There have been other models of this cab and chassis design that have 4-doors or 2-doors and enclosed cabs, depending on the purchasers' needs. This model is equipped with a Federal Signal rotating beacon, ladders, hoses, hand extinguishers and CO2 suppression for chemical fires. Measures approximately 10 inches long.

With the Ecto 1 at their disposal, "they ain't afraid of no ghosts!"
